Quickest Way to Lose Weight

If you're like me, you've probably found yourself in situations where you'd like to drop some pounds quickly. Maybe there's a big event coming up or you want to fit into some special outfit. Well the quickest way to lose weight is probably not the best or healthiest way but here are some pointers.
You can drop extra water weight with these tips. Cut down on your carb intake. Reduce your salt intake and up your potassium intake. The best source of potassium for these purposes is leafy greens. Don't drink alcohol - it's mostly sugar.

Drink plenty of water. At least 8 glasses a day, preferably more. This probably won't help youlose any fat, just water weight, but you may be carrying up to 10 pounds or more of extra water. Keep in mind that it wouldn't take much time at all to gain this weight back.

Don't skip breakfast. This is a common mistake many people make. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day when it comes to weight management. Make sure it's a good size and high in protein. This will give you the energy you need to go about your day and will keep you from feeling hungry in the middle of the morning.

Make sure you fit protein in to your other meals as well. Try to keep the protein sources lean - fish or turkey is best. Chicken, lean red meat, egg whites are also good. Or you could go the supplement route and have a protein shake.

Don't cut fat out of your diet - your body and your brain need it, but replace the artery clogging fats with healthy fats.

The best fats are fats that are liquid at room temperature. Some good sources of these are olive, sunflower, corn, soybean, and flax seed oils, and also foods such as walnuts, flax seeds, and fish.

This will give you some ideas on how to lose weight quickly. Of course, once again, I have to mention that the quickest way to lose weight isn't the best way.

In fact, the whole concept of going "on a diet" is going to be counter-productive in the long term. You may lose weight for a while but chances are you will not only gain it back again but put on even more weight as your body rebels against your attempts to reduce it's fat storage
